In the event....

.... of eating healthier.. (HAHAHA! What did you think I was going to say? :) I am eating a salad and smoothie every day. This is mostly to get the fruit and veggies back in my diet. I have not been able to eat anything for so long. It's been bland city. Today I got them both in. Which really wasn't hard. Just more of an adjustment!

However, I am making gluten free/dairy free donuts tonight. But they are going somewhere tomorrow. PHEW! I am going to a foster care thingy and one of the workers is wheat free so I make her stuff because she doesn't cook.

I will post my smoothie recipe tomorrow. I am going to tweak it again tomorrow a little bit. It was good today but I think I can make it better! :)

To the ZOOOOOOOOOO!!!

So tomorrow we are headed to the zoo for a very long day. Meeting Aunties and cousins there at 10am. Then meeting my sister and her kids there at 1pm. PHEW!!! I hope the kids last all day. I just checked the weather and it is going to be 58 degrees. Now, we are true michiganders and we can handle that with 2 hands tied behind our back AND a ten foot pole. I would rather be cold then hot. I have been to the zoo when it was 90 degrees. That is NOT cool. Litterally. AHAHAHA! I slay myself... Ahem... Anyways, I laid the kids clothes out already and they were capri's and tshirts. I think I am going to have to get some other clothes in the morning. That is what I get for being prepared. :)

Welp, I am going to try and get some sleep.... Must wake up early to get the day going. Pack lunches, pack diaper bag, get water for the kids because I am not paying 5 dollars for a 60z pop, do hairs, get them out the door....... argh.....

So the summer begins

Well, it was finally blazing hot today. YUCK! But I guess it is going to rain for the next forever so I sucked it up and went outside. Tomorrow is Sienna's last day of school. Sad. Mostly because now Sienna and Lanna will fight all day instead of only after noon. Le sigh.....

I planted 24 broccoli plants yesterday. Woohoo! I plan to freeze and eat them all summer. I bought some onions and potatoes to see how they went this summer. My plan is to plant and put up enough veggies and fruit for the whole winter.... eventually. If I can't plant something I will buy them local and put them up. I like have my own stuff. You know?

I have been making myself and my mother take a bike ride every night. I need to loose this weight!

catching up

I think my funk is over. Well, starting to maybe. I think it is the weather. Finally feel human after a long winter blah. Sigh........

So the short of the long- I don't eat gluten anymore. Tested for Celiac and it was negative. Either way it makes me sick. Oddly enough the most irritating symptom is I feel drugged/drunk when I eat it. Don't know why, but I do. So out of my diet it goes! I am not lactose intolerent, but still get sick when I eat it. So out that goes too. I have a hiatel hernia, ulcerative esophagitis and barrets disease. Basically severe acid reflex has caused ulcers in my esophagus and also barretts disease which is precancerous. The acid reflux was for the most part silent. Until recently... So I am on a restricted diet. Also I would like to loose weight which would help all of the above.

So on to more interesting things... :) Sienna is almost 5. Lanna is 3 and Ruby is almost 2! BAH! The time does fly. Sienna will be going to kindergarten this fall. Lanna will not be going to preschool until next fall as her birthday is in January. Randy still works at the airline. I still stay at home. Except for when I go to my mom's shop to 'work'. :) I have been making baby quilts for some cousins that are going to pop at any moment. And some that are still baking. It has been fun!

OK tata for now!!!

Diet

Well, here is my list of no-no's

dairy (silent sob)
gluten
sugary foods
and anything hard to digest.

I am looking into a few 'answers'. The obvious lactose intolerence. Then of course I thought Celiac disease. However, I am more leaning to a new idea. Fructose Malabsorption. With dairy I have an immediate reaction. With gluten not so much. But I feel all bogged down when I eat gluten. Mentally and physically. I have the usually 'lower problems' with gluten, but not severe. So when my doctor 'suggested' IBS I started looking online and found Fructose Malabsorption. It's a possibility.... I am having a colonoscopy next week. yay....... So we will go from there. ugh.....
