Gluten is evil....

....to me! Also dairy and fructose. And it seems anything that isn't easy to digest. What do you eat you ask? Nothing. ok not true.

I finally got into a specialist for my guts. Only for him to smile, wink, (yes, I said WINK) and tell me it was IBS. IDIOT!!!! Ok, sorry, that was slightly uncalled for... but only slightly. I have been researching about what I think it might be. IBS is a blanket term for many things. Which is irritating in itself. So after a few uh... erm... um.... tests we will call it, and he still won't help me I will go some where else and start all over again. sigh.... More later....

military preschool

Is there one? And can I send my 2 yr old too?

Moving on.... Ruby is scared of rough loud boy. He is a true boy. Throwing things, loud, hitting, pushing. I think I need to read a book on boys. Night and day! HAHA. I think the biggest thing is that he did not have siblings. So he has not had to share and get along with anybody his age. So that has been interesting..... And my girls would never do anything to instigate him..... NOT!!! sigh..... I've got my work cut out for me.

canning and sleepy eyelids

So tonight I canned 4 pints of Bruschetta in a Jar and 2 pints of Dilly Beans. I only did a few Dilly Beans because I wasn't sure if I liked them. No use in making a ton if nobody will eat them. I also froze 3 quarts of green beans. I have been trying to decide what to do with all the green beans. My mom wanted me to plant them and she is already done with them! I am the only one that likes them here. I canned a bunch for a friend. Then I gave a bunch away. Then some went to waste.... BAH! There is going to be a bunch more in a couple of weeks. I hate wasting! I want to just rip them out so my tomatoes have more room since they are basically on top of them now! Which speaking of tomatoes I have a TON! And they did great this year. I am not sure why I have the luck with tomatoes, but I seem to. So I plan to make speghetti and pizza sauce again this year. And I was thinking maybe some tomato soup.... or just plain tomato sauce. And also I have to do just some plain old yummylicious stewed tomatoes. Lip smacking good! Tomorrow I will try to freeze some zucchini, can the tomatoes I have left to do, and make/can garlic dill relish. Do you think I can do it? (neither do I!)

The gaurdian at lidem is (the lawyer for the foster boy) is coming tomorrow. I may have to run to Hastings' to get a piece of paper signed AND go to Ionia! Busy, busy, busy!

Also I just ate a piece of chocolate cake. Was it good? Oh yes! Am I going to be sick? Definitely. Do I care? NO! Am I going to care in about 15 minutes? Absolutely.

The night

Well, we made it through the night. He wanted his mommy alot. But he was sooooo tired. So I held him until he fell asleep and then I put him in his crib. I am pretty sure he has NEVER been in one. He seems to like the couch. So we will slowly be working our way to the crib. At this point I am not going to traumitize him any more by making him stay in a crib if he doesn't want too. Otherwise he is a pretty good boy. So far....

Update, update.....and update.

I finally went to the doctor. It took me awhile. I'm don't really like to go to doctors like over half of America.... They seem to think it was my gallbladder as many had already suggested to me. So I had an ultrasound on my gall bladder on Wednesday. And as per tradition I had to wait another 2 days to get the results. Today they came back "fine". Whatever that means. So, now I have to go get a HIDA scan. yayyyyyyy...... That is Monday.

Also amidst all this we are taking in a little boy about 18 months as a foster charge! I do not know anything about him yet. I don't even know his name! Randy is bringing him home right now. So if you all are wondering that makes almost 1 yr old, 18 month old, 2 3/4 yr old, and a 4 yr old. And also yes I think I am crazy.

meeeeelllllttttinnggg

OK, so I'm not hot just my weight is melting! 23 lbs down. I am able to eat more stuff. However nothing very exciting. So I am sure the pounds will keep melting away. Which is good for me! Bad for the foodie in me. Like for instance when Randy 'encouraged' me to try some dairy queen ice cream. Bad idea. Very bad.

Lanna used the loo twice yesterday. Not so much today. BUT I am holding out hope. She is going to 3 in Jan. It is so embarrassing! She is just so stubborn. And she won't sit still for 2 seconds to actually pee in the potty.

Ruby is going to be 1 yrs old in about 2 weeks. WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo sad. Time went by so fast. I am having mommy guilt because I didn't get as many pictures and this and that. sigh.... Oh well. Maybe I will just hide all there stuff and never show them! The will never know!

summer

Summer is HERE! It is HOT HOT HOT! My tomato plants love it. I, however, do not. But I have AC and I'm good. This week Sienna went to her grandma's VBS. She is CRANKY today. I can not even tell you how naughty she is! I litterly had to put her and Lanna in 2 different rooms for fear they would hurt each other. OY! Now they are in 'nap' time. I highly doubt either will sleep since they are so wound up. Oh well, early bed time it is!

So recently (about 2 months) I have been sooo sick. Everytime I ate I would get sick. And, sparing all grossness, sitting on the toilet for and hour or more sick. So because I am stubborn I didn't go to the doctor. I looked on the all knowing Internets. :) I believe, and I actually was 'diagnosed' with this in highschool, I have IBS. If you don't know what that is look it up, because I am NOT explaining it to you! :) So far I have just been cutting put the 'trigger' foods. The list is this- Wheat, eggs, greasy foods, dairy products, sugar, and sugar substitutes. That leaves..... fruit and veggies. OK, well, a few other things. And I do have to say that I can have some wheat. Just not alot and even then I still don't feel the greatest. Eggs on the other hand I am just not sure about. I know they make me sick. I just haven't been brave enough to try them in small doses. Greasy foods are a no go all the way. Dairy products I have found that I can have a little bit of cheese. I may be able to have more I just haven't been brave enough to try! Sugar and sugar subs undeniably make me sick. I can have the natural sugar subs like honey, maple syrup, and others the like. But prolly not a lot at a time. I have been reading up on it and I am hoping that if I calm my guts down I may be able to eat some of this stuff in moderation. Otherwise I found a nice little website about artisian bread that I have been using spelt flour with and LOVE IT! This stuff is awesome! I recomend for anybody. There is even a gluten free version. Fresh bread every day.. Anyway, it has at least made me eat healthier which is what I should have been doing in the first place! I have lost some weight and I'm feeling better so I guess I shouldn't complain, right? :)

I survived

I took a 1.3 (yes the .3 IS important, thank you very much!) bike ride and I survived. End of discussion.

I bought some YUMMY michigan strawberries and froze them for later. I have a TON of jam still from last year. I may make some strawberry juice or some strawberry spread. :) I already made some rhubarb jam. It was good, but not for the non rhubarb lovers. It was low sugar and a little on the tarty(or as I like to say - slutty) side.

I planted my garden! Tomatoes, peppers, hot peppers, lettuce, basil, marjoram, parsley, oregeno, rosemary, peas, beans, strawberries, cucumbers, rhubarb, AND zucchini! PHEW! I have to buy some more tomatoes. Two dozen of them didn't make it. I will be canning up a storm this fall!

the blahs

Well, Randy has been gone the last couple of days. The weather here has been rainy and cold. The kids have been going crazy inside and I am about ready to go crazy! Lanna and Sienna want to play "rough" which means jumping on each other and pulling each other down and all kinds of heart stopping thinks. The thing is they like it! Both of them! Every once in a while one will get hurt. You know the drill. It's all fun and games until somebody gets there eye poked out....

Ruby has been trying to crawl. She is a maniac. Rolling all over and thinking she's a bad ass. Currently she is stuck feet first under the end table. Never mind she just spotted me.

Lanna has figured out how to get out of her crib. Which is always fun. The things is we could lower it. Or we could just take the side down to make it a toddler crib. She is almost 2 1/2..... sigh...My babies are getting too big!

Waiting for all the babies to sleep

I was at a friends house way back when.... Well, let's see.... Prolly about 4ish years ago. She had recently gone through some infertility and then got pregnant. She had this baby. Was already licensed to do Foster care, but had declined any kids as she was pregnant. After she had the first she ended up taking care of a nephew long term. So she had a 1 yr old and now a 9 month old. But wait, then she got a desperate call from the Social worker. Please we have no other place.... Well, what she hadn't told anybody was that she was pregnant AGAIN! So she now had a 2 yr old, a 1 yr old, pregnant, and a new born! All those years of praying for a baby and now she is over loaded! I came out to visit her one evening and was in total awe of her taking care of 3 babies while she pregnant! Not been pregnant myself yet the appreciation was not fully developed. As the night was nearing an end, one child sleeping, one child on the way, and one still awake she turned to me and said "This is what we do everynight. We wait for all the babies to sleep." I've often felt that way, my dear friend. At the end of the day, I just wait for all the babies to sleep.

Iced Coffee

I made my own! Shocking, I know. But it it turned out not too bad. It is a work in progress. I will post when I find the right recipe.

In other news, I am going to a mother daughter banquet today at my grandma's church. I'm phsyched. Yes, you guessed it, that was sarcasm. I love my grandma dearly, but bringing my 8 month old, 2 year old, and 3 yr old to an event with food at nap time just makes me want to run and hide in my bed.

In other other news, I have been having WEIRD dreams about being pregnant and/or having labor. Which is totally freaking me out. Next month is when all other previous ages of the youngest were when I found out I was pregnant. They are all literally 19 months apart. I am not enthused about being pregnant again right now and am not planning on it! Maybe I am just subconsciously trying to work that out... Who knows. I would really like to get another foster baby, but I would REALLY like to actually get some sleep for once in the last 4 years!!!

Spring is HERE!!!

What have I been up to? Getting some sun!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I have been busy, busy, busy!! Ok so sometimes I was making sure the couch didn't float away, but I needed a nap!

All is going well, ok over here. We have been dealing with er, uh, difficulties with our 3 yr old. Things like telling your Gr Grandpa to (and I quote) "shut your mouth" are not acceptable behavior. I know, I know I am so hard to please. And my middle is 2 yrs old. That should be all I have to say. Ruby on the other hand has been a peach. She is such a good baby. I have not been giving her previcid to see how it goes for a little while. I am not convinced either way. I will start giving it to her again and see if I notice a difference again. She is having problems sleeping but I could blame it on her teething... Who knows really. S

Ok, here is a conversation with my ever funny daughter Sienna.
Sienna all whiney - "I can't put my shoes on the right feet. I don't know how."
Me- Well you are going to have to figure it out. Your rain boots are in the car."
Sienna- "Can I get them?"
Me- "Sure"
Sienna- "Ok, I'll put my shoes on to go get them"
me - "hangs head"

Lame-O!

Well, I am lame and writing this while I am outside! I just can't seperate from this beast! I need to put it down and enjoy life! I guess it was my only life line while my kids were driving me nuts this winter. Now I can get out and enjoy things.
I need to get in shape. This is just ridiculous! I was down to my ideal weight and now 3 kids later I think I am heavier then before I decided to get in shape the first time! AHHHHHH!!!! I know what I need to, but I can't seem to do it. *sigh*

Also I am glad that I am not allergic to dandelions as I have a PILE of them on my lap from my darlinks.

Wiki Wednesday

I am going attempt this. I am not a huge sewer. But my mom does own a quilting shop... so I better get going on that sewing thing!
I attempted to make a blanket today. Now I can sew. I can sew a straight line. I can even thread a sewing machine. And if you have ever tried then you know it is not always easy. But today I attempted minkee. What a disaster! It was so slippery that it slipped right on out from it. Then it was so stretchy and whatever that it kept making it be different sizes. Then I had to put Tear Away on it so it wouldn't slip. Then the Tear Away wouldn't tear away. Then I had to cut it... OY!!! I didn't get to finish it because I had to take Sienna to the doctor because she had an ear infection. But there is always tomorrow!
In other news, I am trying to get Ruby to sleep on her own. As in fall asleep on her own. It is not going so well.

The SUN!!!!

I'm sitting outside!!!! I can't even tell you how happy I am to be outside and enjoying the day. The kids are out side and I am breathing fresh air. Smell it? HA! I am!!! I think all the oxygen is going to my brain. Not that stale old house air. LOVE IT!

I called my friend to ask if she had kicked her kids out too. We decided that we were going to throw a box of cereal out the door and let them in only to hose them down and put them to bed. OK not really. But we had to work really hard to think of reasons not too...

Well, I better get dinner started.......

My very yummy taco lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning
  • 1 can diced tomatoes ( I use homemade canned ones!!!)
  • 24 soft corn tortillas (4 inches)
  • 2 cans (16 ounces) black bean refried beans
  • 3 cups (12 ounces) shredded Mexican cheese blend

Directions

  • In a large skillet, cook the beef, green pepper and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add water and taco seasoning; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Stir in the black beans and tomatoes. Simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
  • Mix refried beans with approximately 1/2 cup of water.
  • Place eight tortillas in a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Spread with half of the refried beans and beef mixture; sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Repeat layers. Top with remaining tortillas, tomato mixture and cheese.
  • Cover and bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted. Yield: 9 servings.

I escaped!!!!

I went shopping all by myself! I got groceries. But it is the fact that I got out of the house BY MYSELF! Thank you Randy for catering to me!!!

In other news my eyebrow has been twitching for the last uhhhh.... well.... let's see..... 2 months! I am so not kidding. It is getting on my last nerve. I am sure it is stress. Which is the stem of all my problems. I wish I wasn't so stressed. A lot of people have way more stuff to deal with then me. Oh well...

In other other news, Lanna is a big MOMMIES GIRL!!! She is attached to me. Which I love. Don't get me wrong. But sometimes it really breaks my heart! And sometimes I just want to cook dinner and not have to hold her too! OK, so I really don't do that. But I put her to bed last night and had to leave her in her crib screaming "MOMMY" and grasping me. I almost cried a little. And I don't cry. Well. Usually.

star trek transporter

That is my google word for the day. I posted as my status the other day that I was making taco lasagna. (It was good BTW if anybody cares....:) My cousin how lives a couple states away posted that he would be there at 7 to eat. It was 6:30. So I got to thinking how he would get here if he was. Because really he wasn't serious... And I thought oh yeah what is that one thing that they use in Star Trek? I am not really a Treky or whatever they like to call themselves. But I have been known to watch a few here and there. So I thought why don't we have those? I mean really, we can send a man to the moon and go deep in the ocean. But we don't have a transporter? Can somebody get on that please? I want one!

The big week

Well, let's see.... Sunday I dragged all my kids to church. They were having a kids program during the regular time. I thought the kids would like it more. But I guess they are still pretty young. Of course all Sienna wants to do is talk and be in charge. Having to sit and be quite while other people were in charge was pretty hard for her. She lives a hard life you know....

Monday was BORING! It snowed. All. Day.

Tuesday is my day have fun my BFF. I call it my day off. We usually shop. Its fantastic!

Wednesday is bible study. I skipped and took a nap instead. Naughty.

Thursday I went to my mom's store to help out. Got a lot done. I am going to try and actually QUILT there next week. Unless my mom wants me to do something else....

Friday we had to drive into town to get formula... in nasty weather. But we made it.

So in short the week was BORING!!!!! But then Saturday came.... My good friend April organized a blood drive for a friend. Her friends daughter needed bone marrow. So it was a combo blood drove/bone marrow registry drive. So I towed all my kids there (it was in a daycare so they played while I donated. April watched them) and signed up. This was the first time I have donated. It was interesting. The questiones they asked were pretty intimate! Then you have to pass an iron test. WHich the nurse was 'surprised'. Why I'm not sure... Maybe it's the DEEP DARK circles under my eyes! Hey give me a break I stay home with 3 kids 3 and under! So then I had to sign up to be a bone marrow donor. Then I went to give my blood. Now my veins are deep and they roll. And when I say they are bad I have stories about needles and IVs that would make your toes curl and run away. So after giving the poor nurse my pep talk and pointing out the best veins for her she proceeded to get my arm ready. She wanted to use the vein that always hurts because there is a nerve there. But it was the best vein I guess. Whatev.... Well, she missed. Then she poked around. Hit the nerve about 3 times. Finally decided to stop. So they asked if I wanted to try the other arm. I was like sure.... I'm already here. While I am thinking about poor April watching my little monsters.... So they tried again. And they got it! After a little poking that is. So they took my blood. It feels good to help.

And Also

You know since I said I hoped the kids wouldn't need to go to the ER because I was too busy. Well.... I was there twice. My dad had to take me there the second time because the roads were so bad! Randy stayed home with the other 2 kids. Ruby had RSV and the flu. And let me tell you. That RSV stuff is NOT to be messed around with! Get all info and ASK questions! I had a lazy Nurse Practitioner ( I don't have anything against NP's by the way, just this one) and I didn't get all the info I should have. RSV babies NEED to have breathing treatments!!! I thought Ruby was goig to die the second evening when she woke up from a nap breathing like she just ran a marathon. I do not panic often, but I did this time. But we are all healthy and alive now. Oh and Randy got something too. So that day a couple weeks ago when the world suddenly stopped spining on its axis for approximately 5 seconds it was because of my husband. Don't worry I set him straight.

The funnies

I was reading a book with Lanna (just turned 2) and it was one of those simple books with one word and a picture. Seeing a picture of grass she repeats me. And I say "yeah grass, do you remember grass?" It has been a looooooooooong winter.

Everything you want to know!!!

Ok, so I am a bad blogger! I have been in the gloomies with this weather. So her goes another try!

So as of today I am a stay at home mom. I love my kids dearly. I love that I get to stay home with them. Do they get on my nerves daily? Yes. Do I want to sell them sometimes? Yes!! But I wouldn't have it any other way. I spent 5 years with infertility before I got my 3 kids. I have had some come and go. But it is ok. God has a plan. Maybe he could let me in on it? Probably not. But my kids are great kids. In the times that I have to *gasp* take them ALL to the grocery store. They are mostly good. Bribing works wonders! I am not ashamed of admitting this. :) Also thank you nice friendly man that stayed an acceptable distance away, but made sure I got in ok since the parking lot was slippery and I had 2 kids holding ONE of my hands and Ruby in her carseat in the other. You were very kind.

This is what we have been doing aaaaaalllllll day........

Ok so we took a break to do cute stuff.

Then we braved the snow.

For the love of mother mary

I am so sick of WINTER! I want sun! I want warmth! I want the SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so if you haven't guessed I am done with winter. Next season please. I don't care if that means mud and rain. Anything besides this awful snow and cold and gloom! I think just about everybody feels the same way around here. Mother's with small children are slowly going insane. I can see it in their eyes. Or it could be a reflection of mine...... I sent the kids outside today. It lasted about 5 minutes. Maybe. They came in and were all like "It's c-c-c-c-c-cold" I called them pansies and sent them back out. Just kidding. I sighed and took their boots and coats and mittens and hats off. And then I sent them downstairs! Heehee...

SLEEP!

I got some sleep finally! I had 10 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night. Well, I still woke up a few times, but that is normal for me. I snore. Which is partly due to being over weight. Which is a whole other blog post and a half....

Direct qoute from Sienna today. This is before supper. She was hungry and it had been a bad day for us. As in she was naughty and I was stuck at home with her all day.

Very dramatic sounding " I am just grouchy and I want to be alone!" Turns abuptly (hair flying and everything) and stomps to her bedroom and slams the door. I busted a gut laughing.

In other news, it was nice a sunny today. Which we really need! I got the kids around and pushed them outside. Then I had to go out because our neighbors Pit Bull came over. Yeah, try to explain to your 2 and 3 yr old that the other dog that comes over is nice, but this one isn't. And it doesn't help that they are the same color except the pit bull has a little white on his chest. And just so you know I am not just against pit bulls. This one really is kinda scary. I need to talk to the neighbors about keeping it in their yard. I will not hesitate to call the police either. My kids safety comes first no matter what.

I'm gonna be an AUNTIE!!!!

OK, so I already am one. But this is on the other side. My sisters in law are both pregnant and basically due the same day! Crazy! One has been trying for a couple years and has PCOS. So I am SO FREAKING excited for her!!! The other has been trying for a little while too. So I'm glad that she does not have any problems. I'm so excited because I get to buy more baby stuff! I LOVE buying baby stuff. I can't wait!!!!!

In other NON exciting news.... I made chicken and dumplings and creamy potato soup for lunch today. Everybody is coming over for lunch. Well, traditionally my sister and her clan and my mom and dad come over after church. Today just a few are coming due to sickness EVERYWHERE! My kids my sister's kids.... ME! BLAH! Oh well, that is the way it goes.Oh and I made brownies. Yeah, you heard me. Homemade brownies! I love baking and cooking, but I rarely have time. This morning I put a movie on and the kids have left me alone. Gotta love the TV babysitter! :) Which reminds I can't wait for summer so the kids aren't cooped up all the time.

And other news that is mostly exciting..... My mom is opening a quilting store! She is getting everything in this week. I am planning on going up there alot this week helping. I am going to take a lot of pictures so maybe I will post some here. We have to scan all her material and notions in this week before she opens. So hopefully non of the kds will get sicker and need to go the hospital! I don't have time!!! JK.....kinda...

Ok I thought of a funny

I was attempting to make coffee this morning. I am still pretty tired and we had my sister's little one here last night. And of course Randy left me to get all 4 kids up and breakfast. Two out of the three kids that wear diapers were ummm....shall we say not an easy clean up. And then this ensues - "I want Daddy's cereal. I want milk. I like daddy's cereal. I want cereal and milk" From Sienna who by all means NEVER STOPS TALKING! So I finally got all the kids their cereal and I decided that I thought to myself "Why do I not have coffee in my hands?" So I got the beans out and of course had to wash the French press first. Got the grinder out and put the beans in the French press. I'll let you think about that for a minute....... Then I went "oh CRAP!!!" And of course the french press was wet so I had to get a spatula to get the beans out ans put them in the grinder. Loosing half of them in the mean time. The beans are wet now and stick to the grinder.... But in the end I got my cup of coffee just in time to fight Lanna for it. Yes, she likes coffee. A girl after my own heart!

Not funnies

Sorry, I don't have any funnies. But I can say lack of sleep makes you psycho. And I will leave it at that.

We have my sister's little one today and tonight. The rest of them are going to Great Wolf lodge. Lucky dogs! We will have to go up there some day. They were going for Cody's birthday. When he woke up ths morning he had croup. :( Poor guy. I hope he has fun!

Sienna spent the night at my mom's last night. I wonder how it went. She is not a good sleeper even here. She gets up ALL night because she has to "go to the bathroom". And she goes to bed like that too. She is by far our worst sleeper. Even Ruby sleeps better then her!

Wait... what?!?!?

OK since I haven't posted anything in forever...again.... I am just going to pick up the week like I have been posting left and right. :)

So this week was pretty crazy as always. I got an email from a family in another state that I visited a couple years ago. LOVED IT! I went to Honduras with a few people from that area. I miss it so much. Ever since I had kids I have not been able to go. I have either been pregnant, just got a baby, or just had a baby. I keep saying next year....

Ruby got a fever. No other symptoms. And so far nobody else is sick. Crossing my fingers that it stays that way! She was enough to handle.

I am going to be in a wedding this summer. Yes, you heard right. It is going to be in July and outside. That means I better start tanning or the planes will crash the wedding because they are blinded by my white legs. Also I will be standing next to 2 younger blind skinny size 4 chicks. I'll let that sink in a little. Ok, moving on, I tried on bridesmaid dresses today with them. I am going to stick out like a sore thumb. I am short, black hair, and not skinny. Le sigh. BUT I love my friend and I will do it. :)

Wikiqoute

Truth is always strange;
Stranger than fiction.

-Lord Byron

Lord Byron was an anglo-Scottish poet and a leading figure in Romanticism. I like the qoute. Its pretty accurate if you think about it.....

TMI Tuesdays?!!?!?!?

Where did the time go! OK here goes.

On what occasion do you lie?

I don't lie very much. It just gets back to you in a bad sort of way. When I was a teenager I lied alot. Mostly to my parents. Of course thats about 90% of the teenage population! :) But I didn't like it. So I changed my ways and held to the truth. They only time that I lie is when good manners dictates it. Or when Randy asks who ate all the chocolate....:)

the word

So for my google word for the day I chose my name. Very interesting. There were more of me then I thought! I need to buy more hats I guess..... There is a very popular one in Californa. She leads a very interesting life by the looks of it. But not me. Then I found me! And my hometown. Which then I put into a whitepages site and got my address! Gee I hope I don't have any stalkers out there. Maybe I should be locking more doors around here..... Nah, my dog would annihilate them the second they hit the door. But at any rate, be careful what you put out there!

I gotta go someone is knocking at my door.... JK!

The cruddy crud

We all went through the crud around here. I am at the end fianlly. Sienna and Lanna are to the end I hope. But I think we have another contestant- Ruby. So we will see how it goes!

My sister and her gang all got the stomach flu. I am crossing my index fingers and hissing at them for the next 3 weeks. I HATE the stomach flu! Atthough I think maybe Ruby gave it to them..... So maybe we are safe!

Every since school started it has been constant rud around these parts. And my kids aren't even in school! I can't imagine what is to come next year! sigh...... One day at a time.

The gang

Well I've decided that there really is no harm now of names being said on here. I will probably not say names of any foster kids though. So I will lay out the name roster for you.

Pilot - my husband, Randy
Me- Leslie
BAB- Sienna, my oldest.
LM-Lanna, middle (for now:)
LC- Ruby

And that is that. I may mention other names as I go!

The Funnies

SIenna was trying to tell Randy what to do one morning. The conversation went like this.
Sienna- You put that cereal in my bowl.
Randy- Whoa! Who tells daddy what to do?
Sienna- (with out hesitation) Mommy
Me- smothering peels of laughter in the chair behind them.

I'm Alive!!! (revisited)

I have missed bloggy land! So many times I have said "I should put that on my blog." But then everytime I sit down I have a baby, child and/or FOOD in my hand. But I found a moment!

Things I have learned this year.

1. I can change a diaper in the dark. (not poopy)
2. LOVE nap/bed time.
3. Being puked on is better then changing and cleaning 3 sheets a day.
4. I am addicted to farmville.
5. drive through pharmacies are the BOMB. (yeah you read write... the BOMB)
6.Putting Dora on the TV downstairs = very much peace and quiet upstairs.
7. I LOVE my baby sitter/housekeeper. She does my laundry. Nuff said.
8. Children's cold medicine works just as good if you take double the dose.
9. I am in favor of no more Christmas parties during nap time.
10. I despise dieting.

There you have it. My 12 days of the new year.
